Guest Terms, Conditions & Park Rules
These Terms & Conditions and Park Rules establish the standards expected of guests, visitors, Park Management, and staff to maintain a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for everyone.
By making a booking, entering the park, or staying with us, guests agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and Park Rules. Park Management and staff are committed to applying these requirements fairly, consistently, and respectfully to support a positive guest experience.
Failure to comply with these Terms & Conditions, Park Rules, or reasonable lawful directions issued by Park Management may result in a booking being cancelled, guests being required to leave the park, and forfeiture of any unused portion of the booking, subject to applicable consumer laws.
Purpose of the Park
Talunga Caravan Park provides short-term tourist accommodation for holidaymakers and travellers.
Online bookings are limited to fourteen (14) consecutive nights. Longer stays may be considered at Management’s discretion and are subject to availability, operational requirements and the intended short-term tourist accommodation purpose of the Park.
Talunga Caravan Park is not intended for use as a principal place of residence, and new bookings are not accepted for residential or long-term accommodation purposes.
Management reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking where it reasonably believes the accommodation is being sought for residential, permanent occupation, or non-tourism purposes.
Age and Supervision Requirements
- Guests must be 18 years or older to make a booking.
- Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by, and remain under the care, supervision and responsibility of a parent or legal guardian aged 18 years or over.
Booking Deposits & Payments
Deposit: A deposit equal to one night’s tariff is required to secure all bookings.
Full payment due:
- Peak periods: 30 days prior to arrival
- Off-peak periods: 7 days prior to arrival
- Upon check-in, guests must provide a valid payment card to be held on file as security for any unpaid charges, damages, breakages, excessive cleaning, late departure fees, or other costs recoverable under these Terms & Conditions.
- Payment details will be kept securely on file 14 days after the original departure date of the reservation unless a future reservation with the same Guest Profile exists.
- Stay rates are based on 2 people with additional charges for extra people.
- Any extra guests must be included in the booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations outside of the below date ranges will incur a $10.00 cancellation fee, or you may choose to hold the full payment as a credit for a future booking.
- Credits are valid for 12 months from day of issuing.
- Cancellation within the following date ranges will result in forfeiture of the total payment.
- Off-peak seasons: 7 days prior to arrival.
- Peak seasons: 14 days prior to arrival.
- Peak seasons are school holidays, Easter weekend, long weekends, and local or special events.
- Off-peak season is other periods outside peak season.
- Seasonal campaigns may be promoted with a non-refundable cancellation policy. Where applicable this will be clearly displayed in the rate details during the booking process.
The Park reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or amend any booking where information provided by a guest is inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or where the booking does not comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Refunds will not be provided for early departures, changes of mind, adverse weather conditions, or reductions in the length of stay after arrival, unless otherwise required by law.
Events Beyond Our Control
The Park will not be liable for any delay, interruption, cancellation or closure arising from events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, fire, flood, utility failures, public health events, government directions, natural disasters or emergencies.
Check-In & Check-Out
- All parties must register at reception and not occupy any site until they have been signed in.
- Check-in is available from 2:00pm.
- Check-out is required by 10:00am
- All guests must register with Reception before occupying a site or accommodation.
- Arrivals after 6:00pm must make arrangements with Reception prior to arrival.
- Accommodation occupancy must not exceed approved occupancy limits.
Late Departures
Late departures may incur additional charges.
Linen
Cabin linen is provided for two (2) guests and includes:
- Bed linen
- Two towels
- One bath mat
- Two face washers
- Additional linen may be hired by prior arrangement.
Guest Responsibility
The person named on the booking is responsible for ensuring all occupants and visitors associated with the booking comply with these Terms & Conditions and Park Rules.
Any breach by an occupant or visitor may be treated as a breach by the booking holder.
Visitors
- Visitors must register with Reception upon arrival.
- Visitors are permitted between 9:00am and 9:00pm only.
- Visitor vehicles must be parked in locations approved by Management and comply with all directions issued by Management.
- Registered guests are responsible for the conduct of their visitors.
- Visitors who fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions and Park Rules may be directed to leave the Park.
- Overnight visitors are not permitted unless approved by Management and recorded against the booking. Additional charges may apply.
Occupancy Limits
- Powered and unpowered sites are limited to a maximum of six (6) persons.
- Cabin occupancy must not exceed the number of beds provided.
- Additional fees may apply where approved guest numbers exceed the base booking entitlement.
Sites, Cabins & Site Allocation
- All vehicles, caravans, annexes, tents and equipment must remain within the boundaries of the allocated site.
- All caravan set-ups must be positioned drawbar-to-kerb unless otherwise directed by Management.
- Tents, swags, gazebos and similar structures are not permitted adjacent to cabins.
- Guests must keep sites clean, tidy and free from hazards at all times.
- Management reserves the right to enter any site, accommodation, or other area occupied by a guest where reasonably necessary for maintenance, repairs, inspections, emergencies, safety purposes, compliance activities, or other operational requirements. Wherever practicable, notice will be provided to the guest beforehand.
- Site allocations and accommodation numbers are subject to operational requirements and may be changed at Management’s discretion.
Vehicles & Parking
- All vehicles entering the Park must be currently registered and recorded within the Park reservation system.
- Vehicle numbers must not exceed the capacity of the allocated site or accommodation without prior approval from Management.
- Additional vehicles may be parked in designated overflow parking areas as directed by Management.
- The speed limit throughout the Park is 20 km/h.
- Guests must obtain Management approval before washing vehicles or carrying out repairs within the Park.
- Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk.
- While reasonable care is taken in maintaining the Park, the Park accepts no responsibility for loss of or damage to vehicles except where required by law.
Pets Policy
- Pets are only permitted with prior approval from Management and may be refused at Management’s discretion.
- Approved pets are not permitted inside cabins or other restricted areas.
- When permission has been granted, dogs must be
a) on a leash at all times,
b) under control at all times,
c) not left at the Park unattended
d) owners must immediately clean up after their pets.
e) pets must not create excessive noise or unreasonably disturb other guests.
Public Swimming Pool
- The Public Swimming Pool generally operates during the summer season. Opening dates, operating periods, temperature requirements, entry fees and access conditions may be changed, restricted or withdrawn by Management at any time.
Guest Conduct
All guests are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, visitors, contractors and staff. Guests must not engage in conduct that interferes with the quiet enjoyment of the Park by other guests, visitors, residents, employees or contractors.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours apply between 10:00pm and 8:00am.
During these hours guests must minimise noise and avoid behaviour likely to disturb others.
Behaviour Standards
The following behaviours are not permitted:
- Excessive noise
- Disorderly conduct
- Aggressive, abusive, threatening or offensive behaviour
- Property damage
- Harassment of guests or staff
- Illegal activities
- Behaviour that unreasonably interferes with another guest’s enjoyment of the Park
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Management reserves the right to determine whether conduct is unacceptable within the Park environment. Management’s determination regarding unacceptable conduct will be final.
Courtesy
Guests must:
- Respect the privacy of other guests.
- Use designated roads and pathways.
- Avoid walking through occupied sites.
- Report maintenance, hazards or safety concerns promptly.
Waste Disposal & Shared Facilities
- Guests must dispose of rubbish responsibly and use designated waste and recycling facilities.
- Management may provide separate disposal points for general waste, recycling and eligible container-deposit items.
- Guests must leave shared facilities, including amenities, laundries, camp kitchens and BBQ areas, clean and tidy after use.
- Hard rubbish, furniture, mattresses, appliances, tyres, vehicle parts, building materials, green waste and other bulky items must not be left anywhere within the Park. Guests may be charged all reasonable removal, disposal, cleaning and administration costs associated with any items left behind.
Alcohol
Alcohol may only be consumed:
- At the guest’s allocated site or accommodation; and
- Within designated common areas including camp kitchens and BBQ areas.
- Management reserves the right to restrict or prohibit alcohol consumption where behaviour is impacting other guests or creating a safety concern.
- Excessive intoxication or alcohol-related disturbances will not be tolerated.
Bikes, Scooters & Recreational Equipment
- Helmets must be worn at all times while riding bicycles, scooters, skateboards, rollerblades or similar devices.
- Riding is permitted during daylight hours only.
- Riders must comply with all applicable road safety rules.
- Riding within amenities, camp kitchens and other buildings is prohibited.
- Electric scooters and electric skateboards are not permitted within the Park unless approved by Management for accessibility purposes.
Fires & BBQs
- Fire pits are only permitted outside declared Fire Danger Periods and Total Fire Ban days, and only where permitted by local authorities.
- Fire pits must be fully contained and positioned on gravel or other approved surfaces.
- Fires must never be left unattended.
- Firewood collection from within the Park is not permitted.
- Guests must comply with all directions issued by Management regarding fire safety.
- Ash and coals must be completely extinguished and disposed of in designated steel bins.
- Management may prohibit fires at any time for safety or operational reasons.
Smoking & Vaping
Smoking, vaping and the use of e-cigarettes are prohibited inside:
- Cabins and accommodation
- Amenities buildings
- Camp kitchens
- Reception areas
- Any other designated smoke-free area
Guests are responsible for any costs associated with cleaning, deodorising, repairs, smoke remediation or temporary loss of accommodation inventory resulting from smoking in prohibited areas.
Emergencies & Safety
Guests must familiarise themselves with emergency procedures applicable to the Park.
- For emergencies, contact 000 immediately.
- For Park-related issues, contact the Park office or after-hours contact number.
- In the event of an evacuation, guests must follow all directions from emergency services and Park Management.
- The designated emergency assembly point is located in the centre of the oval.
- Guests must not interfere with emergency equipment, fire safety systems, evacuation procedures or emergency access routes.
Compliance with Management Directions
Guests and visitors must comply with all reasonable lawful directions issued by Park Management relating to:
- Safety and emergency management
- Site allocation and occupancy
- Vehicle movement and parking
- Behaviour and noise control
- Maintenance and operational requirements
- Protection of Park property and facilities
Failure to comply with a reasonable lawful direction may constitute a breach of these Terms & Conditions and Park Rules.
Damage, Loss & Liability
Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves, their occupants, children, visitors, pets or invitees.
The Park reserves the right to recover costs associated with:
- Damage to accommodation, infrastructure, equipment or facilities
- Missing items
- Breakages
- Excessive cleaning
- Outstanding accommodation charges
- Late departures
- Other reasonable costs arising from a guest’s actions
Guests authorise the Park to charge the payment method provided for any outstanding accommodation charges, damages, cleaning costs, fees or other amounts properly payable under these Terms & Conditions.
Any damage identified after departure may be charged to the guest following inspection and reasonable verification by Management.
Personal Property
Guests are responsible for the security of their own property.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Park is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property, vehicles, caravans, trailers, boats or their contents.
Property Left Behind
Property left behind after departure may be removed, stored, disposed of, or otherwise dealt with by Management at its discretion.
Where reasonable and practicable, the Park may attempt to contact the owner using the contact details provided with the booking; however, the Park is under no obligation to do so.
Any reasonable storage, handling, removal, disposal, postage, freight, administration, or recovery costs associated with abandoned property may be recovered from the guest responsible.
The Park accepts no responsibility for any loss of, damage to, or deterioration of property left behind after departure.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Park excludes liability for injury, loss, damage, costs or expenses arising from a guest’s actions, the actions of third parties, natural events, weather conditions or circumstances beyond the Park’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or guarantees that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Excluded Persons & Site Access
To protect the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of guests, visitors, residents, employees, contractors and the broader park community, Park Management reserves the right to refuse entry to, remove, or prohibit access by any person whose conduct has:
- breached these Terms & Conditions or Park Rules;
- caused or contributed to safety concerns within the Park;
- adversely affected the wellbeing, comfort, safety, or enjoyment of others;
- involved threatening, abusive, intimidating, disruptive, or violent behaviour;
- resulted in police attendance, intervention by emergency services, or other serious incidents; or
- otherwise given rise to a reasonable concern regarding the safety, security, wellbeing, or operation of the Park.
A direction prohibiting a person from entering or remaining in the Park may be issued verbally or in writing and will remain in effect until withdrawn by Park Management.
A person who has been directed not to enter or remain within the Park must not return without the prior approval of Park Management.
Any guest, occupant, resident, employee, contractor, or visitor who knowingly facilitates, permits, invites, or allows entry by a person who has been excluded from the Park may be considered to have breached these Terms & Conditions and Park Rules.
Breach of Terms & Removal from the Park
Management reserves the right to refuse entry, cancel a booking or require any guest or visitor to leave the Park where their conduct:
- Endangers the safety of others;
- Causes or threatens damage to property;
- Disturbs other guests;
- Involves unlawful activity;
- Fails to comply with reasonable lawful directions of Management; or
- Breaches these Terms & Conditions or Park Rules.
Management may issue warnings where appropriate; however, Management is not obligated to provide warnings before taking action in response to a breach of these Terms & Conditions or Park Rules.
No refund will be payable for any unused portion of a stay where removal results from a guest’s breach of these Terms & Conditions, subject to applicable consumer laws.
Updates to these Terms & Park Rules
These Terms & Conditions and Park Rules may be amended from time to time by Park Management.
The current version published by the Park applies to all bookings, visitors and stays.
If any part of these Terms & Conditions or Park Rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
Privacy
Talunga Caravan Park is managed by Belgravia Leisure.
Personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed in accordance with the Belgravia Leisure Privacy Policy, including communications and marketing preferences.
